CUSTOMIZED PROGRAMS
Clients will bring their dog(s) to our facility and meet with one of our skilled trainers. Clients will discuss their training goals and any specific behavioral issues they may be experiencing. From there, the trainer will briefly work with the dog(s) and provide clients with their best recommendation for a training plan.
Pricing will vary based on the discussed plan of action.
Assessments are priced at $50 and take approximately 30-60 minutes.
Training assessments can be scheduled Monday - Saturday at our Five Forks location.
Each one of them covers the main obedience commands that are the most useful on a daily basis, along with helpful tips for first time owners and overall dog ownership.

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
The Puppy/Beginner Obedience class builds the foundation for commands and name recognition. This class covers the basic commands of “sit”, “stay”, “come”, and loose leash walking. This class is essential to early socialization and learning to “make a friend” with both humans and other dogs. It teaches owner responsibility, canine psychology, and voice tones. This four week class meets once per week for 60 minutes.
The Intermediate Obedience class will teach the 10 items that are included on the AKC Canine Good Citizen test. These are accepting a friendly stranger, sitting politely for petting, inspection, out for a walk heeling, walking through a crowd, sit and down on command, recall, reaction to another dog, reaction to distractions, and supervised separation. At the end of your class, you will have the option to take the AKC Canine Good Citizen test to receive a certificate or title for your dog. This four-week class meets once per week for 60 minutes.
Go beyond training with our Advanced Obedience class! This class is a continuation of the skills that students learned in our Intermediate Obedience class. The Advanced Obedience class covers skills like recall reinforcement, introduction to off-leash heeling, distance control, "leave it", "place", and "stand" commands, auto-sit during heeling, sit-in-flight, training with distractions, extended down, return to heel and sit holds. This four week class meets once per week for 60 minutes.
Bring high-value treats or toys and a raised cot. Please note, Astro sells raised cots in our store.
Odor detection taps into your dog’s natural desire to hunt and turns it into a fun game. This activity is exhilarating for both dog and handler and provides superior mental stimulation for your canine. It is required that your dog is at least 6 months old, current on Rabies, DHPP, and Bordatella vaccines (proof required), and must be motivated to work for a toy or treat. Participants must bring your dog’s favorite toy or treat, and a well-fitting collar and leash (no retractable leashes).
